On May 11, 2019, Vijay Social Welfare Society conducted a door-to-door distribution of mud bowls free of cost to ensure that birds do not suffer from thirst during the hot days. The initiative aimed to encourage people to place these bowls on their roofs, courtyards, and gardens. Providing water in such bowls helps combat the diminishing bird population due to water scarcity. Using wide, shallow mud bowls is ideal as it makes it easier for birds to drink, and the natural material is more comfortable for them. This simple act of filling these bowls with water contributes to preserving birdlife and brings joy through their presence and chirping.
