A unique Birthday celebration at VSWS

June 12, 2023

A very unique Birthday Celebration took place at VSWS on June 7, 2022. Our volunteer, Anurag, decided to celebrate his birthday with the kids of our summer camp in the slums of Shanti Nagar. Children were thrilled for the event, which included dance, balloons, chocolates, cakes, Maggie, games, and more. The kids were so delighted that they decorated the hall themselves and welcomed us warmly at the community hall.

VSWS team, with significant support from volunteers Shivam, Nandika, and Somitra, prepared Maggie, fruit juices, and distributed clothes to the young slum dwellers. This truly made the day memorable for everyone involved.

Annual Day Celebration

It was a wonderful experience to be a part of the annual day celebration of Shiksha Foundation. The children performed various events and extracurricular activities to showcase their talents. Thanks to Sarita Bindal ji for inviting me to this beautiful event.

Republic Day Celebration with our team at Vihaan Vidhyapeeth.

Celebration Of World Braille Day?

On the occasion of World Braille Day, we visited the Helen Keller Blind School and interacted with the children. Our team collected more than 2,000 invitation cards from different people, which are very useful for these kids as they can practice Braille on them.

Once we learned that these cards could serve as study material, we reached out to friends and relatives and managed to gather enough material to help them for at least three years. This small contribution from all the households significantly benefited the children.

We would like to thank everyone who was part of this collection.

“Khushiya baatne se badti hai.” One of the security guard’s children, Priyanshu, had his birthday and it was the first time he cut a cake and had the chance to celebrate his birthday. We were glad to make it happen. It’s always a very fun time during birthdays. Keep spreading happiness and let’s do good!
